Is there a charge for a consultation at ARQÉA?
No. Consultations are always free of charge, whether in person in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) or via video call. We believe that charging for access to the process is inconsistent with our approach to medicine.
Why are ARQÉA’s prices lower?
Because we eliminate everything that does not affect the surgical outcome. No corporate structure, no middlemen. The price reflects only the actual cost of your surgery.
Who exactly performs the surgery?
Dr Javier Gutiérrez. The same surgeon who sees you in consultation is the one who operates on you. No delegating, no junior doctors, no last-minute changes.
Is anaesthesia included in the price?
Yes. All prices quoted during the consultation are final, all-inclusive: surgeon, anaesthetist, operating theatre and materials. There are no hidden costs.
How much does a full facial feminisation surgery cost at ARQÉA?
It depends on which procedures are combined. The forehead costs €8,500, the jaw €5,000, the chin €6,000, the trachea €4,500 and the lip lift €2,500. If you combine three major procedures, the package price is €16,000 (e.g. forehead, jaw and chin).
Can I have my first consultation via video call?
Yes. We offer online consultations for an initial assessment of your case. If you decide to proceed, the next step before planning the surgery is an in-person consultation at IM Gournay in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona). Both options are completely free of charge.
