We have spent months preparing a results gallery for our website and social media. You know, the before and after photos you will have seen at lots of clinics.
But we have thought long and hard about it, and we have decided not to make it public.
Let's be honest: a public gallery almost always ends up as a shop window. And the face of someone who has trusted us should not end up as an advert.
Try this. Imagine your before photo on this page. Your face, the one you may have wanted to change for years, in full view of anyone who searches for you. Someone from work, or a relative who still doesn't know.
When the time comes to ask for that permission, most patients say no. Even many of those who, before their surgery, wanted to see a public gallery. And that's understandable: looking is one thing, being looked at is quite another.
That said, we understand. If you are thinking about surgery, seeing real results helps enormously when deciding. And you have every right to see them.
So yes, the gallery exists. I have devoted 17 years to facial surgery, the last 11 focused on facial feminization and orthognathic surgery. More than a thousand cases.
What changes is where and how you will see them.
We show them to you in consultation, in person or online, when you are considering your surgery. Unretouched, in date order, one after another. Not just the best ones.
Always with the express permission of each patient. And those images stay in that conversation. They go no further. Exactly as you would want for yours.
We believe this way we respect two things at once: your right to be well informed and the privacy of those who came before you.
And who knows, perhaps one day you will be part of it too. If so, it will always be with your permission, and never as an advert.

At ARQÉA, you are never part of a shop window.
Imagine your before photo published online, in full view of anyone who searches for you. Someone from work, or a relative who still doesn't know.
And a face cannot be anonymized: in facial surgery the result is the face itself, and covering it means no longer showing the case.
That is why, when we ask for that permission, most patients say no. Looking is one thing, being looked at is quite another. And that is why we do not publish any case on our website or social media.

In consultation you see each case with Dr. Gutiérrez in front of you, explaining it and relating it to yours. A photo sent by message tells you none of that.
And once a photo leaves the consultation, it is no longer in our hands: it can be saved or forwarded without anyone knowing. That is why the cases are only shown there, in person or by video call.
